Scott

My best friend…

Eight years ago today, I married my best friend.  I am so thankful that the Lord gave me Scott.  He really is a gift from God and fits me perfectly.  He has been my constant supporter, encourager, confidant, and friend.  He calls me out when I am being unreasonable or irrational and makes me look at all sides of a situation.  He is a wonderful husband to me and a wonderful father to our Ansley.  I can not wait to see him be “Daddy” to our new little girl too.

I love you, Scott.  Thank you for the last eight years.  I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you!

Precious in my sight…

As was noted in my last post, I have the BEST husband.  One of the most awesome things that has occurred since having our first child is watching Scott fulfill his role as “Daddy”.  From day one, he has been head-over-heels in love with his little girl and has been an amazing father.  One of the most precious things that I get the privilege of watching is my man dance with my daughter.  Ansley received a jewelry box for her birthday.  She loves the song that it plays.  She used to do pirouettes to it and dance on her own.  Within the last month or two, she has changed from dancing on her own to dancing with Daddy.  Scott has taught her how to hold his hand and they dance all around her room most nights.  If Scott doesn’t take Ansley’s hand to dance, she takes his.  You should see the look on both of their faces as they dance.  It is absolutely priceless.  I am so thankful for moments like these.

I have the best husband…

I know that I do!  Scott is such a wonderful and loving husband and father to Ansley all the time.  Unfortunately, sometimes I do not acknowledge that like I should.  This week has been very trying and Scott has really stepped up and just taken complete control of the situation.  Ansley started getting sick on Sunday.  We thought she was okay, so she went to school on Monday.  By Tuesday, it was obvious that she really needed to stay home.  Scott stayed home with her Tuesday and was a fabulous “stay-at-home” dad.  He took her to the doctor, got her some medication, and just really took care of her.  Tuesday night, it hit me.  I was completely out of commission Wednesday.  He then had to take care of two of his girls.  There are no words to describe how thankful I am for his care of BOTH of his girls this week.
